PUTTING YOUTH FIRST
Taylis Homes provides safe and high-quality accommodation for 16+ looked after young males and care leavers who are at risk of social exclusion.
ABOUT US
Irrespective of their race, religion, gender & social disadvantages, we believe all young people have the right to develop their personal, social and educational potential to its fullest so they too, can contribute positively within their communities. We accept each young person as a unique individual and work to create an environment for them to feel safe, secure and inspired to excel with confidence on their journey into fully independent members of society.
Housing is a basic right and a foundation for success in life and we all benefit immensely when we have a safe place to call home. It is on this basis that Taylis Homes provides the enabling environment, which supports the lives of residents with excellent programmes and facilities for each young person’s individual growth and welfare.

OUR SERVICES
Our ring fenced semi-independent homes are staffed 24-hours by a member of our highly trained team. The level of support provided will be increased or decreased as required and in consultation with the placing authority to meet individual needs, especially for young people with learning difficulties.
EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EMPLOYMENT
We encourage and support young people to set and achieve positive goals in education, training and employment.
We recognise that some of the young people may have had difficult experiences in their education and that being in a school or college environment may not be suited to them.

PARTNERSHIPS
In order to provide high quality care for our young people, we have partnered up with likeminded organisations that share our vision and ethos in order to improve the life chances of our young people.

INSTITUTE OF FINANACIAL STUDIES
As young people start to acquire & become responsible for their own money, it is important that they become financial literate, so they make the right decisions during their time in education, training and beyond. With this IFS foundation and intermediate course in Personal Finance, we aim to enable young people to understand the concept of money, what influences how we spend or save it and what kind of opportunities exist to help you manage it. Through practical work and activities with external businesses young people will become confident and effective in identifying personal needs and matching them with appropriate financial solutions, and so make truly informed decisions about how to make money work for themselves.

FIT FOR LIFE
As part of our commitment to health and wellbeing for our young people, we have partnered up with Fit for Life Youth who will provide us with coaching programs for sports such as boxing, football, athletics, basketball and many more. For our sports enthusiasts, Fit for life Youth will deliver personalised one to one coaching and training sessions that range from budding academy football players wanting to increase their fitness or certain aspects of their game, to young boxers on a one to one basis focusing on fine tuning specific areas of their technique and fitness.
